Art League of Baytown Juried Upcycle Art Challenge 2024
For over 20 years the prestigious animago Award competition has spotlighted talent in the fields of 3d animation and stills, visual effects, visualization, and design. Organized by the German magazine Digital Production, all winners are announced during a gala at the annual animago conference in Munich, Germany. Though, due to the pandemic, animago has not taken place since 2019, artists are still encouraged to submit their work for the next time that the conference occurs. The Type Directors Club hosts an annual international typeface competition dedicated to typography and new typeface design. For submissions, your work will need to have been created in the same year of the competition open call and will be judged by a panel of leading international designers who will be basing their selections on your usage of the letterform.
Communication Arts Design Competition
The fair runs alongside the huge Art Basel art fair in the Swiss city. It is the sister event of the Design Miami show that takes place in Florida each December. Stockholm Design Week sticks to its regular February slot but minus the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, which will now take place from 6 to 9 September (see below). The week will consist of the usual events, exhibitions and parties at showrooms and other venues across the city.
This year's first edition of twice-yearly Paris trade show Maison&Objet takes place from 24 to 28 March, having been moved from its regular January slot due to the pandemic. A parallel event called Maison&Objet In The City will take place in showrooms across Paris. Interiors Australia and Denfair take place from 10 to 12 February 2022. Denfair focuses on high-end furniture and lighting while Interiors Australia features architectural products, kitchens, bathrooms and workplace design. There are rumours that Milan's prestigious Salone del Mobile might move from its traditional spring slot, with June mooted as an alternative, but for now, the event is scheduled for 5 to 10 April 2022.
